Ignoring a grievance may result in a constructive dismissal claim, a discrimination claim,
a public interest disclosure or the resignation of an aggrieved worker.
For grievances raised on or after 6 April 2009, the ACAS Code of Practice
on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures should be complied with. Whilst failure to follow
the Code does not, in itself, make an employer liable to proceedings, employment tribunals
will take it into account and may adjust any award by up to 25% for unreasonable failure
(by either employer or employee) to comply with any provision in it.
This section guides you through how to handle any grievances from your workers.
